Olivia's Birthday was on March 17. Due to work schedules we had to have the party a few weeks late in the first place. Then, Olivia came down with a really high fever two days before her party and we had to postpone it for two weeks since I work every other weekend.
Anyway, we went to Maggie Moo's for ice cream cake and then walked across the street to the movie theater. We saw Nim's Island. It's a great girl adventure movie. While we were at Maggie Moo's the kids saw some people on stilts walking around outside. They were walking around urging people to buy locally. They bounced around on their stilts while singing "Happy Birthday" to Olivia. It was fun.
This is a picture of her birthday cake. This is the cake we ate when the family was over on Easter weekend. Another mom from Anika's preschool made the cake for her. It was chocolate with fondant icing. I tasted one at another party and it was really good. I thought Olivia would like it. She liked the look of the cake, but not the taste. I thought it was really good, different, but good.

Kid's Artwork Piling Up? Here's an Idea!

Here's an example of one someone did for their kindergartner:
