Earlier we all made our own mini pizzas and I made raspberry cream Italian sodas for the kiddos!

Happy New Year

It's been an awesome year for us. Hopefully I won't start off being sick for the first month of 2008 like I did this year (not even pregnant related sickness)! We have a lot to look forward to in '08.

My Dad & Debbie should be here any minute now with the girls and then our New Year's Eve 2007 will be under way!

I'll try to do some pictures later tonight so I can make it to 50!

Some goal I have, huh!

Post 47

I may not get to 50 posts. We bought a Wii at Targt today.

We're losers.

JACK AND FAMILY

I had so much fun taking these pictures today!

Whoa! I think he really looks like Brian in this picture!

Here's Jack in his giant Christmas stocking!

Next time I'll get pictures of Luke & Jack together!

What to Do

So, what do I do when the girls are at Grandpa's and I should be grocery shopping? Or doing laundry?

I enjoy a few pieces of my delicious fudge (Grandma T's recipe) with a tall glass of milk! Shhhhh........!

Hmmmm....................

I guess I should post something since I'd like to hit 50 posts by Tuesday!

Luke woke up at 2:42 for HIS Thanksgiving dinner (borrowed that from you, Ana). He nursed for 25 minutes. Hello? What happened to 10 minute meals?

Apparently, our dog, Jethro, felt that it would be a good time for him to eat too. I tried to go back to sleep after feeding Luke, but after Jethro's relentless whining, I finally got up at 3:50 to let the crazy dog out. I feel bad for Mark; he had his alarm set for 4 AM because he had to be to work at 5 today (and yesterday). Thanks to the stupid dog, he got to wake up an hour early! I planned to go back to bed, but I never did. I'm nuts.

Now I am going to make a grocery list and then go grocery shopping after Luke wakes up.

LUKE

Snow Day

So it's been snowing here all morning. The girls bundled up and headed outside to make a snowman. I bundled Luke up for a quick photo op in the snow.

I'd just like to say that this has been a really great year for me. My family is happy. I love my job. I love being a mom. I love my husband (in January it'll be 18 years **EIGHTEEN** since we went on our first date). I'm healthy. It's snowing and the mountains in Boise are beautiful. I'm happy.

Here's to 50 posts!

I noticed I have a whopping 39 posts since I started blogging. I am going to make it to 50 by the end of this year. You'll see.

New Year's Eve

I am so excited! Traditionally, we have prime rib with my Dad & Debbie, my siblings and some friends on New Year's Eve. Some of us make it until midnight, others don't. This year, for various reasons, we decided to have our prime rib dinner on New Year's Day instead of New Year's Eve.

So then we wonder "What should we do on New Year's Eve?"

Mark and I thought we'd have an "open house" type party with a game night theme. We've been racking our brains trying to plan it out. We were thinking people could drop by when they wanted to and we'd invite family and friends (friends with kids and friends without kids). It just became too much to think about, really.

Then came Mark's best idea of the year: Let's just have a family New Year's Eve Celebration! It'll be just us and the kids staying up until midnight and ringing in 2008. And we'll have my Dad & Deb over early in the evening for some fun & games too.

Now the wheels are really turning! Oh, the possibilities here are just so exciting! We're talking games and treats and activities and sparkling cider and make your own pizzas and party favors and fancy hot cocoa drinks and dazzling decorations and oh where do I stop?

And as far as the Prime Rib dinner, well, I am really excited about that too. It'll be the best New Year's Day ever!

He's Here! UPDATED!

I don't have many details right now (it's been a crazy day), but Jack Morgan Twilegar was born earlier this evening (around 9-ish). Everyone is doing well, just tired! I hear Jack has really cute, chubby cheeks! I will post more tomorrow after I talk to Brian or Beth more; hopefully I can post some pictures.
**********************************************************************************************************************************
OK, I don't have the exact time of birth, but Jack Morgan Twilegar weighed 8 lb 3 oz and is 19 1/2" long. I hear he has big hands and feet and is a very cute! Brian says he thinks he looks most like Douglas, but that he also looks a little like Luke. Brian should be sending me some pictures later today. I still can't believe that my little brother is changing diapers! And I just have to say that our family really loves Beth and Douglas and that we are so happy that they are a part of our family.

I have not been able to meet the little guy in person yet because MY family has been sick with a nasty cold virus. The girls and Mark are mostly over it, but Luke and I are still congested. Luke had to have chest x-rays and get tested for RSV yesterday. Both were negative, but he is having nebulizer treatments every four hours for the lung congestion. FUN TIMES!

Marathon Day of Holiday Baking

I suspect my right arm will probably be a little sore tomorrow from all the stirring I did today. My dad came over and we made No Bake Cookies, Rice Krispie Treats, Chex Mix and Grandma Twilegar's fudge. I must say, it was the first time I've ever made Grandma T's fudge and it is so much better than the Kraft Fantasy Fudge! After my dad left, I made some delicious toffee. I will be making fairy cookies in the morning. Fairy cookies are a Scandinavian cookie made with lots of butter (clarified butter, in fact) and lots of powdered sugar. They melt in your mouth. Mark's Grandmother, who is Danish, taught me how to make them. They are very labor intensive, but well worth the effort.

In Two Days.......

In two days, Jack Morgan Twilegar will be here (if not sooner)! We are soooo excited for Brian, Beth and Douglas!

Getting in the holiday spirit!

My Mom, Brandi, Michelea and I and the girls made gingerbread houses on Saturday (we missed you, Beth)! It was so much fun! I made a great holiday music CD and we sipped Brandi's fabulous apple cider while we put together our gingerbread houses and decorate glittery pine cones.

(If you look closely, Olivia is putting her tongue in the gap where her 4 teeth used to be).
